A youth was killed in a tragic collision between a motorcycle and a DI vehicle in the Dhaliyai Master Para area of Sonamura. The deceased has been identified as Sohag Mia, a resident of Madhuban in Sonamura. He was the son of Hanif Mia and worked at a petrol pump.

According to local sources, residents rushed to the spot after hearing a loud crash in the morning. On reaching the scene, they found the youth lying on the road after being thrown off his motorcycle. The impact of the collision was so severe that the motorcycle was split into two pieces. Sohag died on the spot.
On receiving information about the accident, the Officer-in-Charge of Sonamura Police Station reached the scene. Police took necessary steps in connection with the incident.
Sohag is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter. His sudden death has plunged the family into grief, while an atmosphere of mourning has spread across the locality.
