Two Killed, Including 10-Month-Old Baby, in Tomtom Accident in Nidoya

A tragic Tomtom accident in the Nidoya area of Sonamura subdivision on Friday afternoon claimed the lives of two people, including a 10-month-old baby, casting a pall of grief over two families.

The deceased have been identified as Jhuton Das (50), a resident of Mothai, and 10-month-old Abir Das, son of Titon Das, a resident of Bhabanipur.

According to reports, the Tomtom met with an accident in the Nidoya area on Friday afternoon. The injured were initially rushed to the local Nidoya Primary Health Centre for treatment and were subsequently shifted to Melaghar Hospital. As their condition deteriorated, two of them were later referred to GBP Hospital in Agartala.

However, all efforts proved futile. Upon their arrival at GBP Hospital, the attending doctors declared Jhuton Das and infant Abir Das dead.

The tragic incident has plunged the families of the deceased into deep mourning.
