According to eyewitness accounts, the car owner allegedly knocked the rickshaw puller down and physically assaulted him on the road, leaving him injured. Police subsequently arrived at the scene and took the vehicle, along with the accused man and his wife, to the police station. The injured rickshaw puller was shifted to a hospital for medical treatment.
Meanwhile, the accused man's wife has also come into focus following the incident. According to local sources, she is reportedly a senior leader of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and an Assistant Professor at Tripura University. She is originally from Assam and currently resides in Agartala in connection with her professional responsibilities. However, these details regarding her identity and affiliations have not been independently verified.
