Modern Deshbandhu Club to Recreate Maharashtra’s Mahakal Temple for 52nd Kali Puja

Dharmanagar: Modern Deshbandhu Club of Kameswar area under Dharmanagar subdivision is gearing up to celebrate its 52nd year of Kali Puja with an elaborate arrangement, promising a unique experience for visitors this year.

As in previous years, the club has planned a special attraction to maintain its tradition of introducing innovative themes for the people of Dharmanagar and Tripura. The main highlight of this year's celebration will be a grand puja pandal modelled on the famous Mahakal Temple of Maharashtra. Skilled artisans from Nabadwip have been entrusted with the responsibility of constructing the pandal.

The organisers have also planned spectacular illumination to enhance the beauty of the structure, with local artists from Tripura playing a significant role in the lighting arrangements.

Beyond the religious celebrations, the club has also taken several initiatives in keeping with its social responsibilities. These include blood donation camps, clothes distribution programmes, health camps and other welfare activities aimed at benefiting the community.

Another major attraction this year will be a saxophone show, which is being organised for the first time within the club premises in Dharmanagar. The organisers expect the musical performance to add a distinctive cultural dimension to the celebrations.

Prasad distribution arrangements will also be made for devotees and visitors.
