CPI(M) Observes 110th November Revolution Day Across Sonamura Subdivision

The 110th November Revolution Day was observed with due solemnity at several locations across Sonamura subdivision on Saturday, as part of statewide programmes organised by the Communist Party of India (Marxist), CPI(M).

The day was marked through separate programmes at party offices in Rabindranagar, Nalchar and Sonamura's central area. The programmes began in the morning with the hoisting of the party flag and floral tributes to martyrs.

At Rabindranagar, the programme was organised by the local area committee at 8 am, under the leadership of area committee secretary Mizan Mia. A significant number of party workers and supporters also gathered at the Nalchar party office to commemorate the occasion. Similar programmes were organised at the party office in central Sonamura, where CPI(M) subdivision secretary Shyamal Chakraborty and other party leaders were present.

During the second phase of the programmes, party leaders highlighted the historical significance of the November Revolution and discussed the prevailing political and socio-economic situation in the country. They alleged that democracy, socialism and the rule of law were increasingly coming under threat. They also raised concerns over violence, corruption, extortion, electoral malpractice, crimes against women, unemployment and growing difficulties in securing food and livelihood.

The leaders called upon party workers to intensify their movements and struggles in the coming days to address these challenges. They further maintained that the country and the state were passing through a difficult phase and stressed the need for people from all sections of society, irrespective of political affiliations, to unite and strengthen movements in the larger public interest.

Former MLA Tapan Das, CPI(M) district committee leader Radhaballav Debnath, along with other subdivision and local-level leaders, attended the programmes at different locations.
