72-Foot Mythical Temple to Be the Centrepiece of Kali Puja at Kadamtala’s Bargoal

As preparations for Kali Puja gather pace amid the festive atmosphere of Diwali, members of Pioneer Youth Club at Bargoal in Kadamtala are working round the clock to put the finishing touches to this year’s celebrations. Continuing its tradition of innovation and creativity, the club is preparing a distinctive puja presentation that also seeks to convey a message of social responsibility. Work on the pandal, idol decoration and elaborate lighting arrangements is progressing at full pace.

The biggest attraction this year will be a towering 72-foot-high mythical temple. The organisers claim that a pandal of such height is perhaps being built for the first time in Kadamtala. Skilled artisans brought from distant Nabadwip are giving shape to the elaborate structure. Beyond its impressive height, the pandal is also expected to stand out for its creative concept and presentation.

Another major attraction will be the artistic depiction of Mahamaya Chamundeshwari, showcasing ten different forms of Goddess Kali. Scenes depicting various mythological wars and battles, along with an elaborate lighting show, are also expected to draw visitors. With these special attractions, Pioneer Youth Club is gearing up to offer devotees and visitors a distinctive Kali Puja experience this year.
